Welcome to the Community Hall
Originally built as Banners Gate Library adjoining the Community Clinic to serve the post-war residential housing developments at the heart of historic Banners Gate, our Committee was established following the closure of the library in 1992 to retain the building for community use. With the support of Vesey Ward councillors we were proud to reopen it as Banners Gate Community Hall in 1997.
It houses the Banners Gate Community Association, the Banners Gate Neighbourhood Forum, the folding of print versions of our community newsletter Gatepost, and a diverse range of activities and classes run by the community, for the community, within our community. Weekend hires for children’s parties and events are welcomed, and enquiries to begin new classes and courses at our Hall are actively encouraged.
Dimensions: Our Hall measures 38ft by 12ft (11m60 x 6m40) and it is 10ft (3m) high. It can accommodate a maximum of forty people.
If you would like to visit our Hall prior to your booking, or closer to the time of your event after booking, we will be glad to arrange this and meet you there. To arrange a viewing, contact our Bookings Secretary on:
